PROBLEM SOLUTION

I was hearing on TV the other day that there is some company owned by Berkshire Hathaway that fly’s people around in a private jet wherever they want with all the nice food and orderves you want. Them some actress got up and was like yeah my husband and I use this because it’ so convenient. Anyway you buy 25 hour chunks of fly time and how much do you think that costs? For 25 hours you can buy it for ONLY $136,000 one hundred and thirty six thousand dollars yep. What that means to me is that some poor kid somewhere had to go without eating, or some poor kid is getting fucked just so some people can spend that kind of money all for themselves i.e. the money could have been used for a way better purpose for society. There are many other examples of rich people gathering too much reward for what they output to society.

THE SOLUTION

So I was thinking about a solution to this problem and something struck me and I can’t understand why it hasn’t been done yet. HOW about a GRADUATED TAX. I am not just talking about a little itty bitty extra tax that rich people don’t care about I am talking about one that makes a big dent for how they reward themselves with their money. In other words it’s not illegal to spend your money like a pig..this is capitalism..but you will be heavily taxed. So see the Gov could set up the tax system like this; going back to are flying example, if you wanted to fly on a normal flight like Delta you should be taxed 0% if you want to fly first class add a 10% tax, if you have to fly in some special private deal that costs 500 dollars an hour for flight time how about a 200% tax hey if you can afford 500 dollars an hour you can afford 1,500 can’t you? Then if you want to fly for 136,000 dollars for 25 hours you should be charged a 1,000% tax. See that way these ultra wealthy people would have to pay 1.3 million if you can afford 136,000 you can afford 1.3 million and the taxes will go to help build roads, schools, and work on projects. Wanna buy a watch? If it’s anything up to a 200 dollars watch there is no tax, if you want anything over that up to 1000 it’s a 20% tax after 1,000 dollars you get taxed 100% and if you want a Rolex you get taxed 1000%. If you can afford 20thousand for a watch you can afford 150 thousand for the taxes. Anyway what do people think of this idea?
